Bantam Beams® are some of the lightest weight per foot hot rolled beams produced in the world. Most of
these products are used in the frames of recreational vehicles (RV) and manufactured homes. Other companies
have also found these sections to be very competitive in purling applications and steel dunnage applications.
These sections are produced by Gerdau Ameristeel at Midlothian, TX and Petersburg, VA.
These sections are produced to ASTM A529-50 grade and are not typically produced in lengths greater
than 40 feet (12 meters) due to their lightweight nature.
