Gerdau believes community building and support is a central responsibility of leadership. As a corporation, we actively participate in many nationally-recognized organizations. We also financially support many local charities in the areas where our employees live and work. In addition, all Gerdau employees are encouraged to participate in regular community service projects.

Our employees have a long history of volunteering their own time and money to local organizations. They support local schools, have helped build homes and serve meals at organizations that work with the homeless. These are just a few of the many diverse community projects our employees have and continue to participate in.

Gerdau divisions also help out when natural disasters strike. Through employee fund-raising efforts, and direct donations of materials, we have helped the victims of tornadoes, hurricanes and floods to rebuild their homes, communities and lives.
