Toronto Metals is centrally located in the Hwy 400- 407 area of Toronto. This division collects material from Industrial accounts in the area and from mid to large size dealers and peddlers.
Established over 35 years ago Toronto specializes in bushelling shipments by rail, the torching and preparing of oversize and demolition scrap and non-ferrous collection and baling.
Toronto is one of the largest suppliers to the Whitby Steel Mill and the Whitby Shredder. Approximately 90,000 tons is shipped from this site to Whitby by truck on an annual basis.
This facility also ships by rail and truck over 140,000 tons annually to steel mills in the Northern and Southern United States.
Toronto recently implemented a Non-Ferrous baler which enables the yard to bale material for shipments to local and out of country suppliers at a premium rate.
There are currently 13 employees at this site as well as 5 full time trucking brokers and a full time torching contractor.
